Voters will see plenty of hand sanitizer at polling places Tuesday in an effort to stop the spread of the H1N1 virus.

The state board of elections is providing 2 thousand bottles to be placed at polling places throughout Virginia.

Instead of touching those touch screen voting machines with their hands, voters will use objects like coffee stirrers and pencil erasers.

Sick poll workers are being asked to stay home.

Oh for heaven’s sake.  Bring your own latex gloves, tissues, etc. if you need to.  Folks, you are exposed to germs everytime you leave your house.  Get over it and take some responsibility for yourself!!!

I voted at Ruffner and I saw none of this in evidence.  Hand sanitizer may have been there, but if so, it wasn’t at an obvious place for voters to see it.
