Just wrapped up Kaine interview

I just finished a satellite interview with Governor Kaine from the Democratic National Convention. We did it at 8:15 our time, meaning it was 6:15 in Denver. Needless to say, it was an early morning for the governor.

We covered a lot of ground, including his take on Obama’s speech tonight and what we can expect to hear from Gov. Kaine during his convention speech tonight.

I also asked about the vetting process, as Kaine did make it to the shortest of short lists for vice president. Obviously he didn’t make the cut, but could Kaine be headed to Washington anyway if Obama wins? Perhaps we could see an Attorney General Kaine or a Secretary of Health and Human Service Kaine? Kaine said no… at least not until his term as governor is complete which will happen in January 2010.
