I decided to order a dress on line to wear to a Christmas Party this weekend… I wanted something a little festive without being over the top… traditionally I am a little black dress kind of person because you can’t go wrong with that look… anyway I have been waiting for a week and a half for it to come in the mail… I was taking a gamble that it would fit perfectly…. IT DIDN’T…

When I got it this week and tried it on… it looked like a blue and black potato sac…  I mean nothing at all attractive about this thing… I also ordered a bracelet and ring that fit perfectly… I can’t hardly wear that as my outfit to the party can I?

Sometimes I will put things off… I looked at the return policy on the invoice (very important this time of year) and it said must be returned withing 30 days of the “ship date” so that meant a trip to the post office on my lunch break yesterday… and a lot of you were right there with me… mailing Christmas presents… doing regular business… sending off returns…

If you have to go to the post office before Christmas my advice is to make the most of it… I had a lovely conversation with the woman standing in line in front of me… as I was telling her about my dress debacle…. she shared with me a similar story about her sister in Texas… only she had purchased the dress from a store and two hours before the dinner party realized the store had left the security tag on it and there was no time to take it back…
