Stubborn little beagle

During the news casts last night Sandra and I kept talking about how nice it was going to be outside today… I decided I would take Luckie for a long walk… even though he has short legs he typically enjoys all of the smells… he is a beagle…

Well as soon as we got out of our neighborhood he kept wanting to turn around to go back home… he has a harness that I had to continually tug in the right direction… he and I had some words and he basically indicated what I wanted him to do was not an option… so… I carried him… there I am walking down a little country road carrying my 23-25 pound beagle…

I knew once we got to the turnaround point of the walk he would enjoy the walk back… several cars passed.. I wondered what they were thinking… probably something along the lines of…“look at that crazy woman carrying her dog for a walk…“ 

Anyway the picture in this blog is the cul-de-sac just before we head for home and while you can’t see his excitement in this picture… he was hopping around like a puppy and had no troubles heading back home…
