This weekend the weather was so beautiful… I had planned for it to be a relaxing no work weekend… until after breakfast on Saturday Matt said… hey I was thinking we could clean out the garage today… I sat silent for a moment… he said… I know that is not what you had planned for today… still I was silent… I started thinking… the garage is a major mess and we can either do it now or when it gets warmer out and I really want to try out my new wakeboard…

I replied… no but let’s get started now so we can get it over with… and so we started throwing out old junk left and right…  if I hadn’t used it in the last year it was going to the dump… it is amazing how quickly two people can tackle a chore… it took about two and a half hours but when we finished it was like our garage had expanded by two feet on each side… it had.. because everything neatly lines the shelves now instead of taking up floor space…

One thing we are not short on is drink huggies… there are still over twenty of them in this wooden crate… I went through and tossed a dozen or more… I mean how many drink huggies do you need?  Little did I realize that I had tossed two out that Matt thought we should keep… the bottoms have come out of them but they were from Wrightsville Beach… a place called Dockside Marina.. we vacationed there after the wedding before going on our honeymoon cruise…

Matt pointed out my near garage cleaning faux pas on Sunday… he said I noticed you put our dockside marina huggies in the garbage… I know they are coming apart but I thought you would want to keep those… I replied that I was in a cleaning zone and was trying not to be too sentimental about things so that we could actually get rid of stuff…

I thought about those huggies for a little bit and the fun time we had on that trip and decided that I am glad he fished them out… sometimes it’s okay to be a little sentimental about old stuff
