  Battery packs are for sale which could power your digital television converter box during power outages.

  Equipment manufacturer Winegard was the first to market the packs, according to a recent article in Broadcasting & Cable magazine.

  The article states Winegard is only selling the packs on line for the time being.

  Of course, you would need a television capable of being battery powered for the product to work properly.

  Retail is around $15.

  Also, the battery pack will only work with Winegard converter box, which is covered by the government coupons.

  The model number is RC-DT09A.

  The retail for the box is $63 before the coupon.

  The government coupons cover $40.
