Salem Police say they’ve arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery that happened this past Sunday night.
Officers tell WSLS that the Apple Market convenience store in the 200 block of Apperson Drive was robbed around 10:00 p.m. by two men with guns. The clerk in the store told officers that both robbers had black rags on their heads, red bandannas covering their faces, and gloves. The clerk then said the robbers took money, and ran away.
Officers sent a description of the suspects out to neighboring police forces, and Roanoke County Police spotted two men later, at a business. County officers then pulled over the men around 4:00 a.m. near Colonial Avenue and Ogden Road.
Officers have since charged Rashide Fraser from Roanoke, and Jonathan Gary Mills from Boones Mill with armed robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
