Five hikers are found after a six hour search at the Dragon’s Tooth trail.
Roanoke County Fire and Rescue were called around 8 o’clock Saturday night to find the lost hikers, one of which was hurt.
The group planned to camp out, when one hiker hurt her ankle.
One of the group members went off the trail to call 911, but by that time it was getting dark, and they couldn’t find their way.
Rescuers found the group 6 hours later, and took the woman to the hospital for treatment.
Fire and Rescue officials would like to remind hikers they should always bring a cell phone, compass or GPS, and enough food and water to last, in case you get lost.
