Dowe’s trial date set

Former Roanoke City Councilman Alfred Dowe is set to go before a judge in late June.

Dowe, indicted last winter on 11 charges involving a double-billing scandal while he was in office, has a trial date set for June 30th and July 1st in Roanoke City Circuit Court.

Dowe has been free on bond since February 5th.
