Drugs go missing from ambulance in Roanoke Co.

Roanoke Co. investigators are looking into the disappearance of a small amount of drugs from an ambulance at the County’s Masons Cove station.
Investigators say the drugs were inside a secure box.
They say fire and rescue staff noticed that the seal on the box had been tampered with and that morphine was missing.
They made the discovery on July 13th and immediately contacted Roanoke Co. Police.
Police say the drugs were taken by a Roanoke Co. Fire and Rescue employee who has since resigned.
At this time, no charges have been filed.
The investigation is ongoing.
