Fire burns home in Roanoke’s Garden City

Roanoke City Fire-EMS say one person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
A cause and estimate of damage have not been determined at this time.
8:43 p.m.
Roanoke City Fire-EMS crews have part of Garden City Boulevard blocked off, due to a house fire.
Tiffany Bradbury, spokeswoman for Roanoke Fire-EMS, says the fire is pretty much out as of 8:43 p.m., and the road is blocked near Garden City Elementary School.
