A murder trial for a man Roanoke County Police believe hit and killed a well-known attorney last year, begins on Monday.
A judge set aside three days to hear the case of Jeffrey Young. He’s accused of running down Tom Farrell back in January of 2008.
Both the prosecution and defense are expected to bring up an incident that happened in Floyd County last year. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office says Young hit a woman with a car, then beat her with a club in the parking lot of a Floyd grocery store.
Young’s defense attorney is expected to argue that Young was legally insane.
