Man robs Roanoke Co. bank

Roanoke Co. Police say they are looking for a man they say robbed a bank on Williamson Rd. this afternoon.

Roanoke Co. Police say they are looking for a man they say robbed a bank on Williamson Rd. this afternoon.

Police say it happened at the BB&T bank just before 3:00 p.m.

Police say a white man with a beard walked into the bank, handed the teller a check, and on the check was a note demanding money.

He did get some money, but police aren’t saying how much.

Bank security cameras caught the man.

He was wearing blue jeans, a dark blue t-shirt with writing on the front and, a baseball hat.  He was also wearing sunglasses.

If you recognize the man or have any information, call the Roanoke Co. Police Dept at 540-562-3268.

If he’s from the area…won’t be too hard to find him.  Either his arm was recently injured (cops can have doctors research medical records for recent arm injuries) OR he’s hiding a tattoo.

Secondly, he’s wearing a shirt I almost bought myself @ Walmart last summer.  Has that owl on it saying “how many licks does it take?“ (remember tootsie pop commercials?). First one I’ve actually seen being worn in public. 

Hope they catch him soon.  He’s obviously not “seasoned” at this….
