Over 350 workers will be staying at Heritage High School until Friday. During the day, they will be working on 53 homes in the Lynchburg and Campbell county area. The students come from all over the country. Zach Schwermer from Illinois is on his first trip to the work camp, he says “It’s nice to have the satisfaction to know I helped someone. Even though it’s my first trip, I know I will go on the next one.“
For homeowners like Lucille Burley of Lynchburg, the students were fun to have around. “They are really nice people, all of them. I really appreciate what they are doing” said Burley.
This is the 3rd time the Group Workcamps have been in the Lynchburg and Campbell County area.
