We’re learning more about the deadly hit and run in Salem, that happened early on Saturday, October 11th.

A search warrant shows Zane Blankenship was walking across the parking lot of the Awful Arthur’s restaurant on West Main Street around 2:00 a.m.,  when police say Blakenship was hit by the Jeep officers say Shaun Scott was driving.

The warrant also says the Jeep jumped a sidewalk and curb, in order to get away from police.

Officers were able to track the Jeep because the front bumper fell off, with the license plates attached, when the Jeep hit a police cruiser.

Scott faces murder as well as hit and run charges.  He turned himself into police at a hospital on Sunday, August 12th.

Sean was a friend of mine, and he was a good person..I dont believe he would intentially kill somebody, if you look at it, Zanes brother had gun charges recently, they only listen to one persons side of the story(family of zanes).Sean was about to go to college, and from what i heard from witnesses that were there that night..zane and his brother started the fight with sean and prob. did stand in front of the jeep to try to hit him and get him out of the car, and sean was scared and all that stuff happened by accident. Its nice to hear both sides b/c if it was the other way around what would zanes family say then…both sides count, not one!!!!
