Plans move forward for Roanoke Co. asphalt plant

The plans for a new asphalt plant in Roanoke County are moving forward.

Adams Construction wants to bring a plant to Peaceful Drive.

The company went before the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday evening.  They asked for a special use permit which is standard procedure.

The company’s vice president says the vote passed 3 to 1.

Adams Construction still needs to go through more permitting processes before plans are finalized.
