Roanoke City Police to hold Senior Police Academy December 3rd

On Thursday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Senior Police Academy will take place at the Mountain View Community Center.

Topics include personal safety, crime prevention techniques, police services, holiday shopping safety, and awareness.

This one day free program is designed with senior citizens in mind, but others are welcome to attend.

The Senior Police Academy is offered by the Roanoke Police Department and Roanoke Parks and Recreation. Participants must register by Nov. 30th by calling 853-2236.
