Sixth graders at Roanoke’s Stonewall Jackson Middle School wrote letters to Mr. Obama Tuesday morning for an English class assignment.
Some of the topics were very grown up.
“I hope you will change the economic situation and bring the brave men and women home from the war in Iraq. I hope you can help the environment and the education of young people and that in the future you will make the greatest of decisions.“, wrote Casey Moseley.
After writing the letters, the students watched the swearing in ceremony on television.

I find it hard for politicians to suddenly find out we are in a recession, when even the children know we are in trouble economy wise. Where have they (the politicians) been hiding?
