Salem and Roanoke Police name a suspect in a series of stolen wallet cases.

Officers are looking for Mark Anthony Johnson.  Police describe him as a 42-year-old, standing 6 ft. 3 in., weighing 190 lbs., with tattoos on his neck and arms.

Salem investigators believe Johnson is the man who stole wallets from three elderly women at the Kroger in Spartan Square during the past month.

In each case, the women told police that a man approached them, then distracted them while they were shopping inside.  The women then noticed that their wallets were mising shortly after.

Roanoke City Police believe Johnson took the wallets from two elderly women while they shopped at the Towers Kroger in the 600 block of Brandon Avenue on Tuesday, August 11th.
