Senate health care bill gives states the option to opt out

The Senate unveiled its version of the health care bill.

The White House says it includes a provision for states to opt out of the public option.

That’s what Governor-Elect Bob McDonnell wants Virginia to do.

Governor Tim Kaine says he hopes McDonnell will wait to see what’s in the final version before making the decision that Virginia should opt out.

Kaine says until the final version is released, we won’t know if the tax dollars of Virginians will pay for other states if Virginia opts out.
