VDOT says accident now clear in Roanoke Co.

VDOT says the accident in Botetourt County, before the Troutville truck stops exit, has been cleared.

There is still an accident in Roanoke County, before the Hollins exit.  It’s causing a 6-mile back-up.

VDOT says there are now two accidents within six miles of each other in Roanoke County and Botetourt County.

Both are on I-81 northbound.

The accident in Roanoke County is before the Hollins exit, and there’s a 3-mile traffic back-up.

The accident in Botetourt County is before the Troutville truck stop exit, and there’s a 3-mile traffic back-up.

VDOT says the original accident north of the truck stop exit has been cleared.

Now there’s a second accident about half-a-mile before the truck stop exit, that has the northbound left shoulder blocked.

There’s a 4.5 mile traffic back-up.

VDOT now says there’s a 5 mile back-up.

VODT says a multiple vehicle accident is blocking the northbound left lane and left shoulder of Interstate 81, just past the Troutville truck stop exit in Botetourt County.

There’s a 1 mile traffic back-up.
