Trooper shooting suspect faces additional charges

A grand jury in Mercer County, West Virginia added two new charges to the list Steve Branscome faces, in connection with the shooting of a Virginia State Trooper just over the Virginia-West Virginia state line from Giles County.
Those charges are attempted murder, and grand larceny. Branscome also faces malicious assault, wanton endangerment, burglary, and petit larceny charges.
The shooting happened back in March. Investigators say Branscome shot Trooper Richard Hughes in the woods, following a ten mile chase that began in Giles County, and ended across the state line up a mountain in West Virginia.
Investigators then chased Branscome from spotting to spotting for more than a week, before catching him in North Texas.

I have knowen steven for the past 5 years. and the steve that i knew was kind,caring,loving and would help you out if you needed help. i don’t know whats had happen to him or what hads gotton into him but this is not the steve i know. as for people blamming steves mom and dad its not fair. because i know alot of people has kids and as for me i have 4 children of my owne and you can give them every thang in the world,try your best to raise them the right way but everybody makes mistakes. and god knows nobody is perfect not nobody. yes it is sad what has happen. but if i came face to face with steve i would not be afraid of him neither would my kids. and i know his ex has said things that alot of people say they are his friends because they are afraid of him. sorry no steve does have some freinds out here that really cares about him and his family. so the way i see it is if god can forgive you for your sins then we should not be the ones to judge nobody and find peace in all of this mess. truely may god be with you
I have knowen steven branscome for the past 5 years and i donn’t know what had gotton into steve but what all has happen. shocked a lot of people because the steve i had knowed and other people he was caring,loving and if you need help he would help you out as best as he could theres alot of people disagree with me but this is true. AND NO ONE IS PERFECT. EVERYBODY MAKES MISTAKES SOMETIME IN THERE LIFE. yes it is sad of what has happened but if god can forgive people for there mistakes then i strongly beleive people should too. because i beleive this world would be alot better if you trust in god and ask him for forgiveness. And no it does not need to be blamed on steve’s mom or dad because speaking as a mother of four chilren you can raise your child or children up to be perfect angels and some where down the line they to are going to get into trouble,if its little or big it is still trouble. and we have so much drugs that are out here in this world now that its not funny that is reaching out to our chilren and theres much of nothing we can do about it but talk to our kids and pray that nothing like that has happened to steve happens to our chilren. no i’m not blamming drugs for all of this problems but like i said before i have knowen steve for 5 years and i have never,never,never seen this side of him i have always seen “i guess you would say his good side” Which if i came face to face with him right now i would not be afraid of him. so please think about it before you go judging people that GOD FORGIVES SO WHY CANN’T PEOPLE DO THE SAME.
