Veterans memorial to be dedicated in Salem
Sherwood Memorial Park will unveil the sculpture, etching and walkway SaturdayVeterans Day is Wednesday, and this weekend veterans will be honored with a new memorial.
It’s in Salem at Sherwood Memorial Park.
A modern day soldier is depicted in a bronze statue. The statue’s arm reaches out to a granite etching of soldiers who served in Vietnam, World War II and Korea.
There is also a pathway, lined with bricks carved in honor and memory of those who’ve served.
The memorial will be dedicated at 2:00p.m. Saturday.
The cemetery is on East Main Street next door to Lotz Funeral Home.
