Woman dies after being hit by car in Roanoke County

4:49 p.m.

Roanoke County Police have identified the woman who died as Lisa Qualls-Howell.

Police have not filed any charges as of Wendesday afternoon.  The case is still under investigation.

10:29 a.m.

Roanoke County Police say a woman has died, after being hit by a car Tuesday night on Route 419.

Officers told us Tuesday that the woman was trying to run across the road near the Copper Croft Apartments, across from Tanglewood Mall.

The accident blocked the busy intersection a little after 8:00 p.m.
