Pair smash into Amherst Co. Apple Market store

The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that happened Sunday.

Police said around 2:30 p.m. at the Apple Market on Rt. 29, North of Amherst (at the intersection of Rt. 29 and Rt. 151), two masked men broke out a store front door with a rock, and entered.

While in the store, the pair took a number of candy items, food items and household supplies.

The two then left the store carrying backpacks, book bags and trash bags full of merchandise.
