Traffic Alert: Rt. 501 ramp to Rt. 460 in Lynchburg to be closed Saturday

The ramp from Route 501 South (Campbell Avenue) to Route 460 East in the City of Lynchburg will be closed on Saturday, October 24, weather permitting.

The closure, re-scheduled due to cold temperatures forecast for Saturday, October 17, will be in place from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. while the ramp is milled and/or paved.  Route 501 South traffic wanting to access Route 460 East will use a signed detour. 

In addition, motorists should be alert to paving operations on Route 460 from Martin Street to Templeton’s Market beginning Monday, October 19.
