This year’s tournament will benefit 5 year old Cecelia Kincaid. She’s the daughter of Division 3 Special Agent Keith Kincaid.
Cecelia was diagnosed with colonic dysplasia. It’s a condition that causes severe bloating and makes eating painful. Cecelia has suffered from gastro-intestinal problems since she was nine months old.
Last year, Cecelia had surgery to implant a device that allows her to take daily medication. Since Cecelia has taught herself that eating causes pain, her doctor wants her to undergo inpatient treatment in Richmond. The Kincaid’s will have to pay $13,000 to send Cecelia to the eating disorder clinic, because the treatment is not covered by insurance.
The golf tournament is Tuesday, July 28 at Falling River Country Club in Appomattox. The registration deadline is July 21. The rain date is August 4.
To register, call C.M. Franklin at (434)352-5155. To sponsor a hole, call Kenneth Bumgarner at (540)797-7601.
