Two men shot in leg outside Lynchburg apartment

Police are looking for a suspect after two men were both shot in the leg outside a Lynchburg apartment building overnight.

Police were called to the Meadows Apartments on Yorktown Avenue around 2 Sunday morning.

There they found Johnathan Payne shot.  Payne was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital.

At the hospital, officers discovered Tajuan Johnson was also there being treated for a gunshot wound.  Johnson told officers he ran to the hospital.  It’s less than a mile away.

Both men were treated and released.
