Vandals trash Stone House Lake park in Amherst Co.

The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office is searching for whomever trashed Stone House Lake in the past week.

Officers tell us someone damaged picnic tables, signs, garbage cans, seating areas, and restrooms, as well as drove a 4-wheel type vehicle over berms and embankments.

Investigators say the damage took place last Thursday night, October 8th, and estimate it will cost $8,000 to fix.
