The drug case against a Radford teacher moves forward to the grand jury.

Lori Jarvis was arrested back in September after police say a juvenile overdosed on drugs in her home.

She was charged with possession of marijuana, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and later charged with felony possession of cocaine.

On Wednesday, Jarvis pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana.  She was ordered to pay fines and her license was suspended.  She is appealing that sentence.

The charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor was dismissed, while the felony cocaine charge was certified to the grand jury.

Jarvis is on administrative leave without pay until her legal issues are resolved.
