Jason Davis who is wanted for a bank robbery in Salem, may also be connected to an armed robbery and break-in in Smyth County

The man who Salem Police believe robbed a bank earlier this week, may also be the same man wanted in a Wythe County manhunt.
In a news release sent out Wednesday evening, State Police Sgt. Michael Conroy said Jason Davis may be linked to the armed robbery and break-in that happened in Smyth County, that led to a manhunt in Wythe County. State Police believe a note similar to one used in the Salem bank robbery, was also used in a pharmacy robbery in Kingsport, Tennessee. Investigators have linked the pharmacy robbery in Kingsport with the robbery in Smyth County.
If you’ve seen Davis or have any information, call your local Police Department or Sheriff’s Office.

I just wanted to say I think you’re the BEST of the local news!
I just wanted to say that it bothers me that Wytheville has been on the news several days this week due to unfortunate events. But regarding the story which aired July 8, 2009 about a search for a wanted man, that I think the police has said was to be assumed Armed & Dangerous, there has been no updates.
Living in close proximity to the last known location of the wanted man, I looked to you guys to find out what the current status is. And I just wish you had and would follow up on this story more!
Thank You!
Rhonda
