The C. Brock Hughes free clinic in Wytheville started up a bingo night. Last month, the clinic raised $5,000.Instead of just asking for donations a local free clinic is thinking outside the box to raise money.
The C. Brock Hughes free clinic in Wytheville started up a bingo night and it’s working.
Last month, the clinic raised $5,000.
The money generated from the game is used for salaries, equipment and bills.
“It’s gradually built up from about 30 people a night at the beginning to now we have about 60 people a night,“ said Bill Weisiger who is the chairman of the board for the free clinic.
Bingo is every Saturday night at 6 p.m. at Miss Gerta’s House of Music in Wytheville, which is located on East Lee Highway.
