Sung-Tae and Hyang Im Cho had their luggage packed and waiting at the door of their Fairfax County home when police arrived. Their travel plans ended abruptly, though, when police told them the mass murderer was in fact their son, and he had killed himself.

A motorcycle honoring the Virginia Tech victims is on display in Lynchburg. The motorcycle will be auctioned off in Las Vegas this fall. Money raised will go to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund.

According to attorneys Peter Grenier and Douglas Fierberg who represent 21 families, the settlement includes compensation, health benefits, and non-monetary assistance for surviving family members and victims.

Virginia Tech said Monday that it will not allow a national gun-control advocacy group to hold a campus demonstration on April 16 while the school commemorates last year’s massacre.

Mark Maslow and his partner, David Moon, have done work at the university before, but this job — expanding and adding color to the memorial of the worst school shooting in U.S. history — means more to them than most.

Virginia Tech has announced what was thought to be the temporary memorial to honor the victims of April 16th will now stay put as the permanent memorial.

The victims attorneys say they could get more than the $100,000, if they can prove gross negligence on the state’s part.

As approximately 200 people looked on, the players stopped Tuesday at the Blacksburg campus to view the 32 stone memorials dedicated to the April 16 shooting victims.

Roanoke City Council discussed a special tribute to honor the memories of those killed on April 16th.

The media wasn’t very welcome by the time the week of April 16 ended last year.  Students felt reporters were too invasive, and asked for the media to go home.  For this year’s anniversary, another flood of media is expected, but this time campus officials have a plan.
