Motorcycle to honor Virginia Tech victims on display in Lynchburg
A motorcycle honoring the Virginia Tech victims is on display in Lynchburg. The motorcycle will be auctioned off in Las Vegas this fall. Money raised will go to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund.

Virginia Tech blocks plans of gun-control group

Ten months after a student massacre at Virginia Tech, state colleges and universities aren’t eligible for direct federal aid for homeland-security initiatives. But Virginia Tech and Gov. Timothy M. Kaine are quietly lobbying Congress for a $1 million budget earmark to pay for university research to identify threats to campus security and prevent mass killings such as the ones at Tech and Northern Illinois University.
