Miller found the long sought after Seung Hui-Cho mental health records in his home last week.
The statement reads “Dr. Miller inadvertently placed documents regarding Mr. Cho in a box packed with his personal documents during the time he was leaving the center… Dr. Miller was very surprised to find that he had documents regarding Mr. Cho.“
In the statement, Miller also apologized for all trouble the missing file caused.
Virginia State Police are investigating to see if Miller did anything criminally wrong.

Brown said she could not comment if the Board had opened any type of investigation into Miller’s actions regarding the Cho file.
She also said she could not be sure if Miller violated any other state criminal or civil laws.
