Pittsylvania County schools find suspect boxes of beef
Rhonda Yates, head of school nutrition, in the county schools, said they were notified to look for boxes with specific ID numbers. She said about two boxes of beef patties were found and have marked and isolated. The boxes have been on hold for 10 days.

Home Depot jobs on the way for Danville area
Danville’s Home Depot should begin advertising its job openings in the next few weeks, according to a company spokeswoman. Sarah Molinari, of Home Depot, said she expects the Danville store, which will be located in Coleman MarketPlace, to hire about 150 people.
