DANVILLE – Two George Washington High School students have been charged after one punched a teacher in class during a fight Thursday, police said.
The students, a male and a female, were fighting each other, and each faces a disorderly conduct charge, police said.
The female was also charged with assault and battery after police say she hit a teacher who tried to break up the fight, said Danville Police Lt. John Henderson.
The teacher was hit in her upper body, either her neck or her chest, Henderson said.
