Danville Police arrest man for burglary at home targeted before

A Danville man is behind bars, facing charges in a home burglary, and police say it is not the first time he’s targeted the home.

Police were called to a house in the 2200 block of Spencer Street around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers say a window had been removed and they found 45-year-old Jeffrey B. Childress inside.

Childress is also charged in connection with a burglary that happened at the same house, a month ago.

He is being held in the Danville City Jail without bond.

Police say there was a person at home, during Wednesday morning’s incident, but that person was ot hurt.
