Missing Halifax County woman’s car found burned

State Police say they’ve found a car belonging to a missing Halifax County woman, burned on a farm.

Troopers tell WSLS that Hattie Gertrude Brown’s Volkswagen Jetta was found on a farm near Virgilina.  Brown has been missing since Saturday, May 16th.

According to a news release from State Police, a man working on the farm found the burned car behind an old barn on Tuesday (July 7th).

Brown and her car were last seen at the South Boston Sheetz around 2:33 a.m. on May 16th.  State Police now believe Brown’s nephew was with her at the Sheetz.
