The issue Obama kept going back to is one that the people of an economically struggling Southside are very familiar with. “The cost of everything from gas, to food, to healthcare, to trying to send your children to college keep on skyrocketing,” said Barack Obama, (D) Presidential Candidate. Every aspect of the economy popped up in questions and in his answers With cars and engines as a back drop that screams blue collar, he’s motivating middle class voters to buy in to his campaign slogan - a change “How many are worse off than you were when George Bush took office,” Obama asked.
