Wal-Mart theft ring busted in South Boston

Officers from the South Boston Police Department and Halifax/South Boston regional drug and gang ask force say they’ve arrested three people in connection with a strong of thefts from the Wal-Mart in South Boston.

Investigators beileve Ronnie Newbill, Sr., Ronnie Newbill Jr., and Laura Moody from Alton stole high-end electronics from the store multiple times during the end of September.

Newbill Sr. faces charges of: Grand Larceny, and 2 counts of petit larceny.

Newbill Jr. faces charges of: 5 counts of petit larceny.

Moody faces charges of: 2 counts of petit larceny.

Officers say additional charges are expected to be filed.

All three are being held on bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Halifax.
