Manassas Police say a Roanoke man was killed over the weekend, after he tried to board a moving train.

According to a news release, investigators believe 20-year-old Bradley Schmidt and two friends hopped a Norfolk Southern train from Roanoke to Manassas on Saturday to attend a party in the 9500 block of Stonewall Road in Manassas.

Officers believe Bradley left the part in the overnight hours of Saturday/Sunday to return home to Roanoke, and was hit while trying to hop onto a moving train.
