In an initial sweep of Suffolk, emergency workers have labeled 145 buildings and homes uninhabitable, the city’s emergency services coordinator said this afternoon.

Teams are going back through subdivisions and business centers to determine how many of those structures are damaged; destroyed; or damaged but inhabitable, said Captain James T. Judkins.
