Va. soldier among Afghanistan casualties
Published: October 8, 2009
A Virginia man was among eight soldiers who died in an attack last weekend in Afghanistan.
The Department of Defense yesterday said the eight victims included Spc. Stephan L. Mace, 21, of the Loudoun County community of Lovettsville.
Mace and the seven others were killed Saturday in Kamdesh, Afghanistan, when enemy forces attacked their contingency outpost with small arms, rocket-propelled grenade and indirect fires.
The eight were assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.

I have only heard from one news source (MichaelSavage.com) how these men died. The attackers gathered in a mosque at the bottom of the hill where these troops were stationed. Because of pollitically correct rules of engagement, the troops could not order a bombing run by air support untill they were fired upon by the militants. When several hundred of these jihadist started comming out of the mosque, with small arms and the shooting started, it was too late to keep from being over-run! Can you immagine what these brave men were thinking, seeing all these hundreds of men going into a muslim church (something that had never happened before in such numbers) knowing something was up and not being able to do anything about it. One well placed bomb would have done more good than hundreds of hours on patrol being blown-up by roadside bombs, looking for the bad guys.
May God be with this soldier’s family in their time of loss. May God be with the rest of us who linger under a democrat/hollywood/newsmedia controlled government.
