Bob McDonnell in the lead according to the Mason-Dixon Poll

A new poll shows Republican Bob McDonnell has a comfortable lead for governor over Democrat Creigh Deeds.
The Lynchburg News and Advance reports McDonnell is favored by 48 percent with Deeds at 40 percent.
12 percent of poll participants are undecided.
The Mason-Dixon poll was conducted Tuesday through Thursday.
At this point in the 2005 Attorney Generals race
McDonnell’s lead over Deeds was identical to his current advantage.

Deeds has lost a lot of support in the Alleghany Highlands because of his support of the Cap & Trade bill.
I can’t believe that he could support a bill that potentially could cost us jobs here in the AH as the MeadWestvaco papermill is the last bastion of good paying jobs here.  Even though I’m a conservative and normally vote Republican, I was seriously considering voting for him since he is from this side of the state and should understand our problems better…..but he has sold his soul to the liberals in the Democratic party and is kowtowing to their wishes.  Deeds has blown his chance !
