With less than a week until Election Day the Republicans proved they are excited about the recent polls.

A very large campaign crowd gathered at Landmark Airfield outside the Roanoke Regional Airport to welcome Virginia’s republican ticket and a pretty familiar face.

Massachusetts governor and former presidential candidate Mitt Romney spent the day campaigning for Bob McDonnell, Bill Bolling, and Ken Cuccinelli.

Romney says the nation is watching the Virginia governor’s race closely.
“Virginia makes a great deal of difference for the entire country, because Virginia’s economy is one of the power houses of the entire nation.  That’s why so many people are interested in seeing a leadership team that can actually bring jobs,” explained Romney.
“We have a lot of national leaders that care about the trends in our country, but more importantly care about Virginia,” said McDonnell

Romney stumped for McDonnell earlier Wednesday in Richmond and Virginia Beach.
