One viewer disagreed with what we led with last Friday night, writing, “I was very disappointed to turn on the 6pm news to see that the first headline of the evening is about Friday football and the weather. There are so many more important topics (such as the missing Virginia Tech student) to talk about rather than if it might rain during high school football games. Come on!!! This should not be the first topic of the news!!!" It was signed “a disappointed viewer.”

Our coverage of the boil water alert in Buchanan steamed one viewer who wrote, “I would really like to encourage you to be completely accurate in your 6:00 report on this topic. My understanding is that the E. coli was found sporadically and in very low numbers, and that this was in water BEFORE it was treated. It is being reported as if the E. coli was found in the water coming from the taps. There is a tremendous difference here - and accurate reporting could go a long way toward diffusing this volatile situation.“
