APCo hopes incentive draws jobs
While also seeking a rate increase in Virginia, Appalachian Power Company also hopes to begin a new economic development incentive to draw jobs to the state.

APCO president Dana Waldo compared the increase to the cost of a Happy Meal, saying rates would go up “$3.61 a day for electricity, an increase of about 55 cents a day.”
