State cuts APCo’s full rate hike request

The State Corporation Commission decided to allow APCo to increase the fuel rate portion of your bill by only 1.418 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh), instead of the 1.614 cents APCo asked for.

State cuts Appalachian Power’s full rate hike request

For families who use 1,000 kWh per month in their homes, the change will equal a decrease of $1.96, or 2.7% according to the SCC.
