CAA releases 25th anniversary men’s basketball team

Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond each have three players on the Colonial Athletic Association’s 25th anniversary men’s basketball team.

The team includes Eric Maynor, Bernard Hopkins and Domonic Jones from VCU; and Johnny Newman, Ken Atkinson and Curtis Blair from UR.

Also on the team: George Evans, Jai Lewis, Kenny Sanders and Will Thomas from George Mason; Odell Hodge, Alex Loughton and Petey Sessoms from Old Dominion; and Steve Hood from James Madison;

Antoine Agudio and Loren Stokes from Hofstra; Jose Juan Barea from Northeastern; Brett Blizzard, John Goldsberry and Brian Rowsom from UNC Wilmington; David Robinson, Vernon Butler and Doug Wojcik from Navy; Blue Edwards from East Carolina; and Brian Gilgeous from American.

The team was picked by a panel of former and current CAA coaches.
