George Wythe H.S. senior goes past the 2,000 point mark

Wednesday, the George Wythe girls’ basketball team beat Northwood in a battle of the top two Hogoheegee District teams.  Ashley Buckhannon scored 24 points in the win.  Before the game, Buckhannon was honored for scoring more than 2,000 points in her high school career.  She has not yet decided where she wants to go to college, but is enjoying her senior season as a Maroon.  The district tournaments start next week, George Wythe is the second seed in the Hogoheegee.
